Rumors of Tiger Woods Threesome Gone Bad

We have received reports of several major publications trying to verify a very saucy incident involving one Tiger Woods several years ago.  While the story has not been verified, the rumor is that Tiger was involved in a threesome and one of the female participants began video-taping the encounter.  Tiger then supposedly angrily assaulted the ladies and destroyed the camera.  The un-substantiated source goes on to say that Tiger paid each of the ladies $2.3 million to keep the incident quiet.

On a personal note, I have a hard time believing that this story is true.  Sure, Tiger may not be husband of the year.  And sure, Tiger has tapped more tang than a NASA astronaut.  And sure, Tiger is someone who would go to great lengths to keep a story like that out of the news.  But I just don’t believe it.  Stay tuned folks.

Auld Tang Syne

Well folks,

Its that time of year once again.  Plenty of holiday parties, and plenty of opportunities to mix and mingle with New York’s elite.  But if you are planning to save your dancing shoes for the weekend, think again.  Tonight’s top pick is the Paper Magazine 2009 Nightlife Awards party held at M:2 Ultra Lounge. Paper Magazine and Svedka Vodka are co-hosting the event and its sure to be a great time.  Svedka’s branding is closely associated with sponsoring events.  And they throw one hell of a party.

The M:2 Ultra Lounge is a a magnet for celebs and it recently hosted the Victoria’s Secrect Fashion Show after party

If you can’t make tonight’s party, there will be plenty of others as we make our way to 2010.  Its cold out there, but you can heat things up by living large with the holiday hotties.  Should old acquaintence be forgot and never brought to mind.  We’ll drink a glass of Svedka yet for Auld Tang Syne.

The Glamour Magazine Canon Ball

Posted in Parties on December 6, 2009 by Bright Lights

Friday night (December 4th) I attended the Glamour Magazine Canon Ball at the Empire Hotel in New York City.  The party was at the Rooftop Bar, and it was a fundraiser to raise money for Jessi Marquez and The World Race.

The World Race is a very worthy cause.  It’s an 11-month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries around the world where they will assist different charitable causes in an effort to minimize the harmless effects to those in orphanages, those victimized by the practice of human trafficking, those who are homeless, and those suffering from various illnesses.

The Empire Hotel roof bar is one of my favorite venues, although I have kept away for quite a while due to rumors that it attracts a huge bridge & tunnel crowd.  Now that I have returned to this New York treasure and staked my claim for all New Yorkers, I can honestly say that we shouldn’t have let it slip away for as long as we did.  The crowd is dressed to impress and the place has several rooms, each with a different feel.

There is plenty of outdoor space in case the party gets too hot (pun intended) and all in all there is enough going on that you won’t get bored.

Jessi Marquez and her crew got the dance floor started around 11:30pm and the place was off the hizzy.  Chuck Bass would have been proud.

The Hills / The City Finale

Posted in The Hills on December 2, 2009 by Bright Lights

Last night was the first joint finale for MTV’s The Hills and The City.  As always, I was in attendance for the festivities.  The night included an hour long Cast Confessions segment hosted by Jessi Cruikshank and Dan Levy, followed by a viewing party of both shows.  Lastly, the night concluded with The Aftershow also hosted by Jessi and Dan.

For those of you who don’t know, Dan Levy is the son of the Eugene Levy (the infamous father from American Pie).

The big story of the night was that Kristin Cavallari and Justin Bobby are now supposedly a couple.  In my opinion, nothing could be further from the truth.  Justin has always been one to be awkward in public appearances, but Kristin is not someone who would put up with that in real life.  Justin paid very little attention to Kristin (see photo above) and even refused to raise a glass in a group toast to conclude the show.  I caught up with Kristin, Stacie the bartender, and Justin on the streets of NYC after the show.  Let me first say that Kristin and Stacie could not have been nicer.  They took several minutes to pose for photos with fans (including myself).

While the three of them did leave together, they didn’t do anything couple-like.  Maybe Justin just beats to his own drum to a point where there are zero public displays of affection.  Or maybe the Hills is once again creating drama and a fictional relationship.
